Who was Roger de Breteuil?
Roger de Breteuil was one of the leaders of the Earls' Revolt in 1075. He was the son of William FitzOsbern, who was rewarded with huge amounts of land for his service to William. Roger inherited his father's title as Earl of Hereford in 1071.
