The second Duma was the second parliament while Nicholas II was the tsar of Russia. It was very short-lived because of its radical demands.

  • It proposed radical change to the tsarist army.
  • It opposed Stolypin's land reforms.

  • Some Kadets were not allowed to sit in the second Duma because they had criticised the government for closing the first one.
  • There were more Octobrists and Social Revolutionaries, and 220 socialists altogether.
