What was the effect of construction on the economic boom of 1920s America?
During the 1920s, the construction industry thrived as it built new shops, factories and offices for new businesses, as well as roads, homes, hospitals and schools. Skyscrapers, such as the Empire State Building, became a familiar sight in cities.
